CONCEPT

Waterford is a luxury crystal brand who have a rich 200 year heritage. The project brief was to redesign Waterford’s global retail concept from flagship to shop in shop experience, encapsulating the brands pillars of heritage, craftsmanship and sensorial indulgence.

The approach was to express these pillars within the design of the space, through authentic materiality, refined detailing and immersive digital moments.

Tactile materials within the palette are inspired by the Irish landscape. We wanted to create an environment that captured moments of the making process, that was a contrast to crystal and visually told the Waterford story beyond the final product.

The central structure is inspired by the mould room in the Waterford factories, this space is the focus for premium product and bespoke pieces from the mastercraft range.

Refined detailing reflects both the craftsmanship of making crystal and the detailed cuts that are hand engraved by master craftsman at the House of Waterford.
